get Tangerine.

The internet category is a sea of sameness. Everyone using the same stock imagery, offering the same deals and saying the same thing.

We saw this an opportunity to create something new. Something own-able. Something fresh to cut through the noise and offer a simple promise - ‘Just refreshingly simple internet’

The campaign’s tagline, “When internet gives you lemons, get Tangerine”, is a call to action for Aussies to make the switch to Tangerine and turn their backs on the big guys - Telstra, Optus and Aussie Broadband.

The spots follow our mascot, Peely, as he vanquishes common customer pain points (the metaphorical lemons) like the pain of swapping providers, long hold times and complicated modem set up, which he then turns in to something positive.

Finally, I know what you’re wondering. Yes, they were real lemons. Five tonnes of them in fact.
